mir tut die andere qualle ja ein bisschen leid, schwimmt da so nichtsahnend durch die weltgeschichte, begegnet nem nachbarn, will freundlich hallo sagen... und wird gegessen. :P

Marine invertebrates -- their lives are more interesting than you know. Some of them will eat until they explode, if given enough food. Others will re-organize themselves if they are disrupted. You can grind up a living sponge, and disperse it as a thin slurry in the water. The individual cells will re-form into new sponges.

I don't think this is cannibalism, since it is two different species of ctenophores. But I have no doubt that they would be cannibals if different-size individuals of the same species were to meet.
