CONCLUSIONES I
Los resultados obtenidos nos llevaron a plantear la hipótesis de que la vacunación antigripal de la
campaña 2019-2020 con la vacuna adyuvada podría estar asociada a un mayor riesgo de
fallecimiento por COVID-19 en mayores de 65 años, la cual fue difundida tanto por canales
internos del centro como externos, destacando la propuesta hecha en la lista de correo de la
Sociedad Española de Farmacia Hospitalaria (SEFH), de realización del mismo estudio en otros
hospitales más grandes para ampliar la muestra.
Se recibieron amables respuestas de colaboración por parte de unos pocos hospitales de pequeño
tamaño, pero resultó imposible compaginar sus datos con los nuestros, pues o bien no se ceñían
exclusivamente a los fallecidos o bien no teniamos acceso al minucioso rastreo de los registros de
vacunación que realizamos en nuestra HCE.
Aquí se pudo dar por finalizado el trabajo, pero al ser comunicada la conclusión, el bajo número de
casos suponía su inmediato rechazo.

CONCLUSIONS I
The results obtained led us to hypothesize that influenza vaccination of the
2019-2020 campaign with the adjuvanted vaccine could be associated with an increased risk of
death by COVID-19 in over 65 years, which was broadcast both by channels
internal of the center as external, highlighting the proposal made in the mailing list of the
Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacy (SEFH), carrying out the same study in others
larger hospitals to expand the sample.
Friendly collaborative responses were received from a few small hospitals
size, but it was impossible to combine their data with ours, because either they did not adhere
exclusively to the deceased or we did not have access to the detailed tracking of the records of
vaccination that we carry out in our HCE.
Here the work could be terminated, but when the conclusion was communicated, the low number of
cases supposed their immediate rejection.
