Change happens with or without our help. If you want things to change in a certain way, then yes... YOU/WE/ALL OF US must make it happen.

I agree with both of you @Alistair McHarg, the change we want to see happening must start with us, but as @V. T. Eric Layton says it the change will be happening, only with effort from us can we try to make it to be in the right (more human and all life centered). Because as it is looking now the way it seems to going by itself is in the opposite direction.
