I heard there was going to be a remake of Groundhog Day.

It will be exactly like the original.

Oops, Apologies! now how did this happen??? My error! I used the scheduler, but then couldn't find the scheduled post last night when it was supposed to be posted hence posted again. I probably scheduled it on the wrong date.

Please note there is a new post for Jan 4th. Thank you for your patience (while I get used to the new joint mod account and functionalities!)

@David Calderon - And if you get a chance to see Flash Gordon (the original series, not the one with music by Queen) with the original music played live, do it! (Franz Liszt wrote the music used by Flash Gordon.)

By-the-way, for an exciting bit of movie and music here's what I think is one of the best. It's a five+ minute segment from a 1938 film:

Here's another bit of Russian movie making that I think is great - it is the final scene in which the Battleship Potemkin, having mutinied to the Red side, goes out to do battle, alone, against the Russian fleet. The pounding of the pistons keeps increasing and increasing as does the tension about the forthcoming battle....

Since I'm on a roll about movies and music here is one that I consider to the perhaps the best collaboration of music and image, ever made, again from the 1930's, but this time from the US... It takes a good conductor to play this music. It has to have emotion, particularly deep desperation as the piece nears the end. I heard an English conductor murder this music - This one is conducted by Stowkowski, who knew his stuff, and knew what jazz was supposed to sound like (particularly in the Tango near the end.)

@su ann lim Messed up the scheduler? Next to impossible. But. Editing a scheduled post in friendica is not working, no edit or preview function there. Instead you will have to delete a scheduled post from the list (which is hard to find at https://libranet.de/profile/checkin/schedule and delete the post, the redo it. :/

@Rod It's not bad if you work from a text editor, copy/pasting the text when it's ready into the Libranet window.

I have had to re-enter a few into the scheduler. It's a matter of seconds. I always keep my weekly drafts in Geany so that I always have that to drop back on.

I always work from TextEdit @((( David "Kahomono" Frier ))), but always seem to need an edit button once I've posted. (sigh)
